Clouds around the mountains. Moods like I’ve never seen. All the epic scenery I would have wanted. Unfortunately, it was too cold, wet and miserable to get to the top.

Madeira delivered something different instead. Constantly changing light, mist-covered valleys and dramatic coastal scenery created some of the most atmospheric conditions I’ve photographed.
